Founded in 1971, St. Nicholas’ mission is to provide each child with the opportunity to develop independence, confidence and sense of purpose by:

  • Empowering children to learn how to learn leading to a lifelong pursuit of learning;
  • Providing a nurturing tri-lingual child-centered environment and holistic education; Passionate teachers educating the whole child and delivering an outstanding academic program;
  • Fostering an environment that encourages innovation;
  • Tailoring to the learning needs of children by focusing on each student’s intellectual, emotional, social, physical, spiritual and ethical growth.

At St. Nicholas’ English Kindergarten, we believe that:

Passion
Despite our history of almost fifty years as a Montessori-inspired kindergarten, it has always been our passion to provide our students with a creative learning basis. We have always believed in small class sizes as they help develop a stronger student-teacher bond. We also take pride in our challenging yet accessible curriculum, as it has over the years shown to provide the skills necessary for our children to succeed in life.
Innovation
Keeping in mind the ever-changing needs of young children, growing insights of the educational world and technology evolving at a breakneck pace, we at St. Nicholas’ strive to continually improve our teaching methods and techniques. Children are naturally active learners, and with this in mind, we tailor our learning environment to instill in them a love of learning and provide a foundation that allows them to discover their own ways of learning.
Leads to Quality Education
We believe in holistic education. Our advanced academic program is balanced with a strong music and arts initiative, science, physical education and extracurricular activities. At St. Nicholas’ we foster skills that last a lifetime. We teach our children to respect others’ cultural, racial, religious and physical differences, as well as to be aware and reflective of the current environment. These programs also enable our children to be cooperative, confident, independent, responsible, compassionate and creative. Together, coupled with passion and excellent parent-teacher communication, we are confident that we can nurture your child hand in hand for a successful future.
