Principal’s Message

Welcome! Please allow me to take the opportunity to introduce St. Nicholas’ English Kindergarten. Our school was founded in 1971 and modeled on the philosophies and principles of the Montessori pedagogy. In 2021, St. Nicholas’ will have the distinct privilege of celebrating its 50th anniversary. As part of our celebration, we completed a school-wide renovation project and a full update of the learning and recreational spaces on our campus.

We feel very fortunate to count dedicated Native-Speaking English and Putonghua teachers among our faculty. Their innovative approach to instruction and their diverse insights provide great enrichment to our community. Today, our students enjoy lessons in English, Cantonese and Putonghua as part of our trilingual environment.

All teaching at St. Nicholas’ follows the whole-child approach and seeks to tailor instruction to each child’s unique learning style. In addition to our dedicated teachers and staff, students at St. Nicholas’ also benefit from the individualized attention that is made possible by small class sizes.

One of the biggest challenges in Early Childhood Education is staying current with the demands of today’s ever-changing educational landscape. At St. Nicholas’ we strive to provide innovative content and instruction while retaining our focus on developmentally appropriate, whole-child education.

Our teachers and staff are ready to adapt to the demands of tomorrow. As we look ahead to the future, I am thrilled by the prospect of an ever-growing and changing St. Nicholas’, providing a quality education for the children of Hong Kong for years to come.

We look forward to welcoming your child to our St. Nicholas’ community!

Yours truly,

Mrs. Betty Choi
